"Marietta" エリックのマシーカスタムピスト

皆さんこんにちわ！

今週、カスタムピスト作りました！

渋谷店で、いろいろなかっこいいピストフレームがある。

僕はピストを買うかな～

メンテナンスは簡単だし、乗りやすいし。。。

僕のロードはたくさんキロメータを走るのでいつもたくさんメンテナンスがいります。

この新しいピストは僕の毎日自転車。ロードはツーリングとかレースの時だけ！

MASIのSPECIALE FIXEDのきれいな色のフレーム買った！！

スタッフに手伝ってもらいました！カスタムホイルの作り方は都築さんと兼信さんから習いました！

デザインはタムタムに手伝ってもらいました！

フレームのヘッドパーツと他の組み立ては水野さんと高岡さんに手伝ってもらいました！

皆ありがとう！

ピストとロードは全然違う。

ロードよりピストは遅いけどとても楽しい！

乗り方も全然違う。最初から固定ギアはちょっと怖い感じですけど何となくこの新しい乗り方に惚れました！

も一回自転車に惚れました！

この子はMariettaと言います！

イタリア語でマリエッタは女の子の名前。賊子の意味です！可愛いじゃない？

雨の日にどうしよう？

雨の日にあまり自転車に乗られないだよね。。。

寒いし、じめじめやし、あまり楽しくない。

でも、時々雨は一日だけじゃなくて、一週間ぐらい雨降ってる事もあるよ！

たくさんトレーンイングができない。一週間休み後で体と筋肉と体力が弱くなる。

そうして、雨の日にもトレーニングする方が良い。

でも、どうやって？家の中に自転車に乗られないやん？すぐ、壁とぶつかるかも。ﾊﾞｺ！

インドアートレーナーを使ったらできるよ！

色んなトレーナーがあるけど僕のオススメは

Tacx　Satori　インドアートレーナー。

このトレーナーが10レベルある。

フラットランドのような重さからカタゴリー１のヒルクライムのような重さあります！

あと、このトレーナーが折られるので使わない時、たくさんスペース取らない。

乗る時、自分の目は一番必要な物ですよ。

見えなければ乗られないよ！

太陽の光か虫か何かが目に入るかも。

入れば多分痛い事故があるかも。

目をちゃんと守って、安全に乗りましょう！

僕のオススメはＯａｋｌｅｙメガネ。

目を守るだけじゃなくて、Ｏａｋｌｅｙのデザインは超かっこいいと思う。

いろいろなスタイルがあるし、レンズを変われるよ！

2012 Giant Defy 3 来ました！！！！

皆さんこんにちわ～

今日、Giantのdefy 3が来ましたよ！

この自転車はとてもいいビギナー自転車だよ！

ﾛｰﾄﾞにはこれは安いし軽いしかっこいいと思う。

初めてﾛｰﾄﾞレｻｰにはこれは僕のおすすめだよ！

このフレームはとても素晴らしい！軽くて丈夫で乗りやすい。

コンポさえ変えればプロの自転車と変わらないで使えるし、

スーパー高いフルカーボンの40万円する自転車を買うわけがない。

制服君、どこにあるの？

今日、渋谷店に早く着きました。

普通に10時半に仕事が始まるけど今日９時半に着きました。

10時ごろ、制服がなくなった事に気づいた。

"どうしよう？！？！？！"と思った（＞＿＜）

僕は練馬近くに住んでるので帰ってスペア制服持って来る事を決めた。

だいたい、道が空いたら練馬から渋谷まで20分かかるのでギリギリ間に合うと思った。

10時10分に店に出かけて、ずっとダッシュした～

道は超込んでるけど、なんとなく帰る方の、信号は全部緑！！

足は火になって、空気が超欲しかった。

でも、帰って来た！５０分で25キロぐらい出来た！ぎりぎり間に合った！

僕の制服はどこに行っちゃったかな～ (_ _)zzzZZZ 疲れた～

来月、ワイズインターナショナルはエンデューロレースとｽﾎﾟｰﾂバイクデモしますよ！

そこで新しい2012年モデルの自転車をみたり乗ったり出来るよ！！！！！！

超楽しみ!!

デモは10時から16時までです！

エンデューロレースは８：３０時から12:30時までです！

受付は7時始まります。

レースは５００人マックスですから早く来たほうがいいと思います！

レースにはどんな自転車でも出席できるよ！ｸﾛｽ、ピスト、ロード、ＢＭＸなど大丈夫だよ～

Felt Technology

皆さん、おはよう！

エリックです。

僕はフェルトが大好き！フェルトのジオメトリーとサイズがちゃんと僕の体に適するよ。

来年のモデルがすぐ来るよ！今、新しいＦｅｌｔ　ＡＲ３とＴＫ２を買うつもりです！ＡＲ３は１２月に発売です。ＴＫ２は来月か再来月に発売だと思います。

フェルトが好きの一番理由はフェルトのテクノロジー。

カーボンとエアロダイナミックスデザインはとても特別。あとは重さはとても低いです。

飲み会！！！

皆さん、こんにちわ！

エリックです～

昨日、日本の文化を物慣れた！同僚と飲み会しました！！

アメリカでこんな文化はないのでこれは新しい経験！とても面白かったよ～

食べ物と飲み物はとても美味しかった！　

仕事の時とちがって、みんなリラックス＆オバカ！

超楽しくて、皆の秘密顔見た。仕事中の時皆はプロフェッショナルだけど外で

皆は友達！

シバクンの旅行の話聞いて、高橋さんのピーの話聞いて、

いつも水野さんは"エリックは日本人じゃない？英語うまいけど。。。"言った。笑！

良いかどうか分かんないよ（＞＿＜）

皆さんこんにちわ！

エリックです。

僕はいつも"メンテナンスは必要"と言ってる。でも、いつメンテナンスする方がいい？

今日、僕の自転車でメンテナンスがいるパーツ見せます！最近僕は雨降ってる中、自転車乗ったのでとても汚くなった！

まず、このチェーンは汚いよ！オイルはクリアはずですけど、これはとてもやばいよ～

あとはこのタイアはちょっと古いので交換するほうがいい。

次は僕のブレーキ。ブレーキはリム近く過ぎ。アジャストする方がいい。

最後に、雨の製でハーブからグリースが出ちゃった。ハーブのメンテナンスする方がいい。多分、バットムﾌﾞﾗｹｯﾄとヘッドパーツは同じから、BBとヘッドをメンテナンスする方がいい。

もし、皆さんの自転車は僕の自転車みたらメンテナンス時間です。

Mt. Rainier Bike Ride

シアトルに帰ったとき、Mt.Rainierという山に登った。

登山路は20マイル。気温は20℃。朝は15℃、午後が20℃。

朝食は卵とポテトとステーキとオレンジジュース。

両親と車で、山の下をドライブ。そこから僕は自転車で、両親は車で

野生動物いっぱい見た。

鳥とか鹿とか・・それだけ。

空気はとてもきれい、天気はとても良い。もっと上に行くとviewがきれい。

街もビルも車も全部遠い。

雪はないと思ったのに、雪あった。

lunchはチーズハンバーガーとポテトとチーズケーキ。

山の上に小さいレストランがあるから。

10：00am-3：00pm

まで僕は山の上。でも自転車乗ってる時間は1時間だけ。

もし、シアトルに行ったら、ぜったいにおすすめのサイクリングロードだよ。

難しい道じゃない。

明日から。。。

明日からちょっとアメリカに帰るよ！

実は僕のお姉さんが彼と結婚する。僕は結婚式に出席する。

でも、２年ぐらいアメリカにいないから結婚式の後で僕は３週間の旅行する！

家族に合いに行くために。

その時、シアトルでちょっと自転車ツーリングをするつもり！

色々な所に行きたい。さっきのブログでルートを書いたけど、他の所にも行くと思う。

シアトルの大きい自転車シーンを見せるよ！

Accidents are bad. They damage your bike and body. There has never been an accident that wasn't bad for all parties involved. Nobody wants to deal with all the paperwork and legal mess that follows an accident in which people get hurt.

事故は悪い。自転車と体がダメになる。

クラッシュした人みんなが関わる。さらに書類と法律がめんどくさい。

The best way to avoid an accident is to know the rules of the road and how to protect yourself while riding.

皆さんがルールを守れば交通事故は減るよ！

If you are traveling straight through an intersection be sure you are in the lane that goes straight through. If there is a left turn only lane avoid blocking the turn lane.

交差点を真っ直ぐ通りたければ真っ直ぐの車線を使って下さい。

車の左折車線を塞がないで下さい。

When there is no bike lane, queue up in traffic and position yourself in front of the lead car or just slightly to their left but within their field of vision.

自転車線がなければ、一番前の車の左側に止まって下さい。

その車の運転者があなたのことを見える方が良い。

Always look for drivers making right hand turns across your path, especially at intersections. Don't assume a driver will yield to you, or that they even see you.

右折車に気をつけて下さい。その運転者があなたを見えてると決め込まないでください。

時々その運転者はあなたを見えてるのに止まらない。

If you are turning right, it is illegal for you to turn from a right turn lane, just like drivers do.

右折する時、右折の車線を使ってダメです。歩行者用の信号を使ってください。

When passing a single car or a line of cars, make sure it is clear behind you. Once you've done that, signal your turn and make the pass at a safe distance.

車を通り過ぎても常に後ろから車が来ていないか確認しよう

Always pass to the right of a cyclist. If you pass on the left you could cause an unnecessary collision putting you at fault. Announce your pass with an audible signal. A simple, "on your right" or "passing" will suffice.

自分以外のサイクリストの左側は通り過ぎず、必ず右側を通るようにしましょう

When passing a pedestrian, remember the pedestrian has the right of way. Give them sufficient room. Do not 'buzz' them. And if possible give an audible signal BEFORE you reach them.

歩行者の近くは走らず、通る時は必ず「通ります」と一声かけよう

On Multiple Use Paths you may encounter pets on leashes, children and elderly pedestrians. On these paths, you are the heaviest, fastest vehicles and have a duty to be careful around them. Remember; treat others in the same way that you want to be treated.

サイクリングロードと歩行者道では、事故をおこすと自転車の責任になるから気をつけて！

Do not ride in a driver's blind spot. Ride where they can see you.

車の運転手の死角となるところは絶対に走っちゃダメ！見える所を走って！

Making eye contact with a driver is an effective way to ensure your safety.

車の運転手とアイコンタクトをとるのが一番効果的！

Ride in the left most lane of traffic that you are headed.

車道を逆走するのはチョーNG！車と同じ方向、かつ車の左側を走ろう

When riding through intersections, or near driveways, watch for vehicles coming the other direction as they may turn in front of you.

交差点では車の動きをよく見てね！

〜車の運転手へ〜

Cyclists are only required to ride as close to the right as is safe. Often times the road surface and traffic conditions look different to a cyclist than they do to someone in a car.

道幅が狭いと自転車は車の前に出てくるから気をつけて！

It is legal for cyclists to move from the right into the lane to avoid hazards like glass, potholes and other debris, so be patient.

When passing a cyclist slow to a safe speed and give at least 3 feet, or more, of room to their side when overtaking them.

自転車を追い越したいときは、接近しすぎず、1メートルほど距離をとってね！

Do not speed past a cyclist in an effort to make an upcoming turn. It is easy to misjudge how fast cyclists are traveling and you may violate their right of way and injure them.

左折したいときは自転車を追い越さず、ちょっとゆっくり曲がろう

When making a turn or entering the roadway from a driveway or parking spot, use your turn signals. Even if you don't see a cyclist, the cyclist will see you.

駐車場から出入りするときも必ずウィンカーを使ってください

Don't harass cyclists; it's illegal and unsafe.

安全のため自転車と車は仲良くしよう

And, please, don't text while driving. It's not safe for anybody.

そして、絶対に運転中は携帯をいじらないこと！！

皆さんこんにちわ！

エリックです〜

来月僕はアメリカに帰ります！

３週間ぐらいシアトルにいます。

その時にツーリングします！

予定は１週間で５８０キロぐらい乗ります。

始める場所は僕の両親の家です（Bellevue, Washington)。

そこから、北に乗ります。サンワン島嶼の周りに乗ります。

そこから船でタウンゼンド港に行って本土で帰ります！

Mini Velo Madness!!

ミニベロコーナーが着きました！

マシーとダホンとフジとブルノなど自転車あります！いっぱいありますよ！

ミニベロはとても便利な自転車。

小さいので部屋に入れやすいし、軽いし、乗りやすいです。

スーパーや駅まで、ミニベロは完璧の物です！

Having your custom wheels made is very simple.

カスタムホイルの作り方はとても簡単ですよ！

First select your rim.

まず、リムを選んで

Next choose your spokes and spoke nipples.

次、スポークとスポークニップル　を選んで

Finally choose your hub.

最後にﾊﾌﾞをえらんで。

After you have chosen everything, we will put your custom rim together in about 1 hour. The cost for assembly is 4,800 yen per wheel. If the spokes need to be cut it is an additional 1,050 yen per wheel.

全部を決めた後、組みあがるまでの時間は一時間ぐらいかな？（お店の状況によります）

料金は￥４，８００（1本）。スポークの長さを変えなきゃいけなければ￥１，０５０かかります。

Maintenance for life 自転車のメンテナンス

There is nothing more that I can stress about bicycles than keeping a good maintenance schedule. It doesn't matter if you ride a mama-chari to the supermarket or if you put 300 kilometers on your road bike every week. Maintaining your bicycle will not only keep your bike happy but also your wallet. It is better to spend a little time and money on maintaining your bicycle than spending a whole lot of time and money on buying new parts because they broke due to poor maintenance.

Here are a few basic maintenance tips to keep your bike in good condition:

1. Check your tire pressure! Having proper tire pressure will not only allow you roll easily but it also reduces wear on your tires. Flat or under inflated tires cause increased friction that wears down the rubber quickly. Flat or under inflated tires also does a lot of damage to the side wall of your tire causing cracking or even blow outs! It's best to check your pressure every 2 or 3 days just to make sure they are inflated properly. (>_0)v

2. Keep you chain clean and oiled! The chain is one of the main parts that transfer the power from your legs to your wheel. Keeping the chain clean will reduce resistance and allow it to work smoothly, transferring as much of your power as possible. A dry chain is an unhappy chain. Keeping your chain well lubricated will reduce friction and heat. Friction and heat will cause your chain to wear and in some cases, prolonged neglect will cause a chain to break. A clean and oiled chain will rarely ever need to be replaced. (^o^)

3. Grease your Bottom Bracket and wheel hubs! There is no real set time for when this should be done, but if you start to hear clicking noises when you put a lot of power into your pedaling, that is when it is time to apply new grease to your Bottom Bracket. Having a well greased Bottom Bracket will keep if from accumulating any unnecessary wear. When you grease your Bottom Bracket it is also a good idea to grease your hubs as well. Having clean grease will mean your hub bearings will be running clean and nearly friction free. (0_o)

4. Keep your cables tight, oiled and capped! Without the cables on your bike you cannot brake or shift. As small as they are, cables are as important as the wheels on your bike. Make sure your cables are tight and adjusted properly as this is a major safety issue. Oiling your cables periodically will protect them from wearing due to friction and prevent them from rusting. Always make sure your cables have their ends capped. Without a cap, the cable will start to fray. A cable that is fraying will begin to brake as a single wire is not as strong as a neatly wound cable. (>_<)

5. Give your bike a bath! A clean bike is always a happy bike. d(0_<)

Zebra in Japan! ジブラ(日本ではゼブラ？）がやって来た！

The first time I saw the Masi Special Fixed Drop in our store I instantly thought of a zebra. Not that it's bad or anything, I just thought it was interesting!

新しいマジー初めて見た時、急に「ゼブラ」と思っていました。それは悪くないと思いますけどとても面白い！

アメリカンフットボールが好きだたら、多分レフェリーと思いますよね?

実は、マジーのスペシャルフィクスドドロプはとてもアグレッシブ見たいですけど、クラッシクイタリアみたいです。このマジーは安いし速いしサイズは使用可能です。マジーとBREVが一緒でとてもかっこいい自転車を作りました。どこに行っても、人々はこの自転車をジロジロして「かっこいい」とおもっています。シテイの中に乗れば、この自転車はマジーのおすすめです！
